SPICE is a secondary teachers' enrichment program providing science teachers with funded access to professional development, supported by exciting new curriculum resources and opportunities for interaction with leading scientists, science educators and multimedia developers.
The travelling scientist is an initiative developed by SPICE to bring science to regional school kids that would not normally get such one on one experience. The travelling scientist accompanies the SPICE team on visits to regional schools in Western Australia to tell their story about how they became a scientist and highlight the problems along the way with the aim of inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
